2023-2024 Interim Assessment Window Now Open

The English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Interim Comprehensive Assessment (ICA) and Interim Assessment Blocks (IAB) are available as of August 28, 2023. The last day to administer the interim assessments will be July 26, 2024.

2023-2024 Secure Browsers Live

The SY23-24 Secure Browsers are available to download from the Delaware System of Student Assessment (DeSSA) portal for iPad, Windows, Mac, and Linux devices. The SY22-23 secure browsers will be supported through the end of September. Devices will then need the SY23-24 secure browsers downloaded to support testing. Technology Guidance is now accessible on the portal through the Technology Guidance portal card on the Technology Coordinators page. The Change Log outlines the updated guidance for SY23-24.

New Secure Browser Released for MacOS 13 (Ventura)

CAI released a new Secure Browser (version 15.5) on January 11 to support testing on devices using MacOS 13+. The new Secure Browser is only required for Mac devices using MacOS 13+. No other devices or operating systems are impacted.

2022-2023 TIDE Now Live

The Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) is now live for the 2022-2023 school year. The TIDE User Guide and Training Module provide guidance on how to access TIDE, manage student test settings and rosters, and monitor test participation and completion. The guide also provides instructions on managing users and filing appeals. If you have any difficulty accessing or using TIDE, please contact the DeSSA Help Desk.

Smarter Balanced Interim Assessment Window

The 2022-2023 Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments (ICA/IAB) will be available starting on 9/12/2022 and remain available through 7/28/2023. The tests will be accessible through the Assessment Viewing Application (AVA) during the same time period.

TIDE Downtime

TIDE is currently being configured for the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, TIDE will not be fully available to the field for the duration of 10 days, from August 15 to August 28. Please expect to encounter TIDE access issues during this time. We recommend that users refrain from accessing TIDE during the scheduled downtime to avoid access issues until August 29. Please contact the DeSSA Help Desk with any questions.

DeSSA Portal Domain

During the summer of 2020, the DeSSA portal moved to the cambiumast.com domain to align with the new Cambium brand. A redirect was placed so any user accessing the airast.org domain would be redirected to the new cambiumast.com domain. The redirect will expire on October 31, 2021.
